Another Examiner Update

I quickly grow bored with things and need a variety to keep me happy and going. So I heard about people making good money writing regular, Top News for Examiner and I decided to give it a try and apply for a new title. I posted about it on the Facebook group I belong to and someone said good luck because it is hard getting approved for a Top News title. I got nervous about that but I decided to try it anyway.

I applied on the 15th with a strong writing sample about an American pastor who is being imprisoned in an Iranian prison and being tortured and beaten. So bad that he has internal injuries and will now have to wait two months to get any treatment. Well, I heard back from them on the 18th and was approved for it! However, because the story was already three days old, I wasn't able to use it as my first article for Top News. This is because you have a 48 hour window for news stories. I now realize I could have just published it without trying to get it sent to Google News. I will wait until I find an update on his condition and then publish it.

I am just so excited I got approved for the new title. I now have 5 titles and have been trying to get my butt in gear all day to write something. I am too distracted today so I think I will clean my kitchen table off and work in there where there is no TV to keep me distracted.

My stepson is a great writer and he applied and got turned down. I also have a friend who used to write for AOL and has been turned down a couple of times. I don't really know if it is the topic they chose or if it is something else but I really wish they would have gotten it, especially my stepson! Hopefully he will get in when he tries again in 30 days.
